Outdoor design and trend: let Summer 2014 talk

In the Summer more than ever, the outdoor becomes the protagonist of public and private spaces. Interiors open out to the outdoor, hugging terraces, gardens and any location en plein air to become a sort of extension of the interior. Simultaneously, people inhabit the open spaces: parks are filled with families, terraces filled with friends sharing an aperitif. Chairs, ottomans, pots, benches: everywhere, you can feel the desire to create or recreate, cozy and fascinating spaces for enjoying summer months as best you we can.

Summer 2014 exteriors are characterized by a decor rich of colors which makes them become real open-pit living room. From the most vivid and intense colors - like fuchsia, orange or yellow - to more delicate shades, not to forget classic and refined black & white for an outdoor design that evokes an intriguing and chic atmosphere.

Serralunga's 2014 news, as always by internationally renowned designers, meet all the possible color requirements. The color, in its vividest role, is the cornerstone of the collection Alba Lights created by Massimiliano Adami; a light version after the success of the pots of the same name. Another example is the table Alice created by Patrizia Pozzi which is characterized by nature paler shades for furnishing a place visually reconstructing a flower field. The colored solutions evidently abound but the elegance and pureness of white stands out as a particular touch of style peculiar to Serralunga: smart and functional. Indipendently from color requirements: if summer calls, we respond!

Among other must-haves, this summer wouldn't be complete without ecosustainability: all clear to furnishing accessories made from recyclable and eco-friendly materials. Again, do not forget the resistance: sure, elegant furniture for indoors is important but even more fundamental is resistant furniture for the outdoors. Sofas, armchairs, ottoman and cushions must be soft to the touch and comfortable but at the same time they are moisture-proof, sunlight-proof and even salt-proof.

Probably it is difficult to identify trends and styles that perfectly combine the whole outdoor design Made in Italy field, but it is still possible to intercept a shared trend: professional or amateur projects looking for warm and refined environments that will bring the taste for beauty in the outdoor spaces which has always been the soul of Italian interior design appreciated all over the world.
